About Us

If you haven’t tasted our ice cream before, it’s nearly impossible for us to describe what we do. “But you’re just a tiny ice cream shop in small-town Texas, right?”

Nope. Not even close.

When we decided to open Dulce Panda Handcrafted Creamery, we weren’t chasing some dream. We were chasing a memory. The memory of the first time you tasted something so delicious, you spent the rest of your life since holding everything else to that expectation. And unfortunately, a lot falls short. “Wait, you’re trying to end all disappointment with ice cream?” Maybe. That’s the plan, at least.

We are David and Robyn Padilla, and we invite you to come chase memories with us. Starting the second you open the door, your nose will hold you hostage because, well, the aroma from our scratch-made, fresh waffle cones has that effect. And those welcoming smiles behind the counter…they’re real. And the “Hey y’all, welcome in” you hear…that’s real, too.

When you walk up to our counter, we want you and your family and your kiddos to feel right at home. For years to come. It’s why we designed the whole place from top to bottom ourselves, and David even constructed the shop with his own hands. Small. Clean. Colorful. Cozy. And yup, a little funky. Because that’s also who we are.

“But what makes your ice cream so special?” For starters, we want you to have a hard time deciding which flavors to try. And trying them all is perfectly fine—and encouraged. Because we want your first taste to transport you back to that time when you couldn’t wait for the next bite. What starts with Robyn’s imagination becomes a rollercoaster of deliciousness. Creative flavor combinations. Fun spins on old favorites. New cravings you won’t want to end. All made with the freshest, most carefully sourced ingredients. And what’s that? Dairy-free flavors that taste anything but dairy-free? You got it. Hey, the lactose-tolerant crowd shouldn’t have all the fun, right?

So whaddya say? Wanna come chase memories with us, and create new ones? Because that’s what we’re scooping up at Dulce Panda.
